Carol Gautschi is a practicing Certified Professional Midwife (NARM certified) and is also licensed by the state of Washington. The longest continuously practicing home-birth midwife on the Olympic Peninsula, she has been a birth attendant for more than 35 years and has attended over 1,000 births for families in her community and abroad.

Mrs. Gautschi is well-respected in the midwifery community, and has served as Chairwoman of Childbearing Ministries in Washington State as far back as the ‘90’s. She is a gentle birth activist & global educator. Currently she chairs WARM.

As a senior, well-experienced midwife she teaches midwifery skill workshops and passes on her expertise and wisdom in the time-honored tradition of apprenticeship. She also teaches for Midwifery Today.
